Policy & Advocacy
I'm an environmental advocate and youth policy leader passionate about making my community more sustainable and equitable. I've spoken in front of the Oregon State Legislature and taken part in media interviews to push for affordable, accessible transit for young people. At my school, I lead the Environmental Club, and I helped launch a project that brought solar panels to our campus. I'm also a member of the City of Portland’s 2045 Transportation System Plan Community Advisory Committee, where I review policies, dig into technical details, and join discussions to help design a more reliable, youth-friendly transit system. I'm especially focused on making sure underserved youth have a real voice in shaping the future of transportation.

I'm a voting member of the Multnomah Youth Commission (MYC), where I advocate for youth transit equity and environmental sustainability. We formally report to the City Council and the County Board. We engage youth in local elections, develop initiatives to support their academic and life success, and advocate for budget priorities that ensure City and County funding for youth-centered programs.
As Co-chair of the Transit Equity and Environmental Advocacy (TEEA) sub-committee of MYC, I have worked to expand YouthPass, a transit program supporting youth access to school, work, and essential services. If you missed my interview on KATU News (ABC affiliate), here’s the clip! 📹
I was recently selected to serve on the City of Portland 2045 Transportation System Plan Community Advisory Committee. In this role, I review policy and planning materials, critically evaluate technical information, and participate in facilitated discussions to help shape the development of the transportation plan. The committee is tasked with contributing to the design of a multimodal transit system that improves reliability and establishes civic corridors. I am the sole youth voice on this committee.
